Appalachian Youth Service is looking for individuals to staff our residential and educational programs.
Ideal candidates would have a background in psychology, criminology, or any related field.
College degrees or working in a similar environment preferred, but not necessary! We are dedicated to our employees and will train the right person.
We do not mandate overtime.

You will be required to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
We offer a flexible scheduling system in which you are able to make reasonable requests for days you are unavailable.
Potential employees should not have more than three shifts per week that they are unable to work.
Appalachian Youth Service will provide all required trainings to you.
Our trainers will teach you how to effectively manage youth and provide all the instruction for required DHS trainings.

This allows a much shorter learning curve and gives employees the chance to know management instead of just seeing them.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
Must be at least 21 years of age and dependable Must be able to work all three shifts including weekends and overnights Undergo Child Abuse, State Police, and FBI clearances Be able to complete an online Medication Administration course Must have a valid PA driver's license and clean driving record Must be able to complete Safe Crisis Management training Be able to complete First Aid and CPR certifications Provide appropriate structure and safety for youth within our care Maintain the rules and regulations in our facilities Be a positive role model for the youth.
