Who We Are Seeking AHCCS is seeking a student focused, passionate, and motivating 90 Day Specialist in the central PA area and one in the western PA area to join our school! The 90 Day Specialist will provide support to students and families during their initial few months to establish a foundation for success.
This position does require significant travel within the region.
Being bilingual in Spanish is a plus! The 90 Day Specialists will be responsible for:
Work closely with the Enrollment Department receiving referrals of newly enrolled students to schedule Family Success Interviews.
Facilitate virtual transition meetings from LaunchPad to Homeroom.
Communicate with LaunchPad Coordinators, Homeroom Coaches, and students to find a feasible time for all parties to attend and/or gather valuable information for a successful meeting.
Coordinate with the Guidance Department to obtain pertinent information regarding the students assigned to caseload, such as academic standing, medical concerns, disabilities, etc.
Collaborate with staff, students, and families/guardians to coordinate and conduct Family Success Interviews in person to welcome students and guardians to AHCCS.
These may be conducted virtually if in person is not feasible.
Develop, refine, and assist with maintaining Student Success Plans set in place.
Promote school programs, clubs, and tailored electives to students based on the interview findings.
Promote PTO meetings and Guardian Ambassador program to guardians during interviews.
Gather and present all data and information obtained from the Family Success Interview to be delivered to the assigned Mentor for each student assigned to caseload.
Communicate follow up communication to assigned students to inquire about experience and gather feedback to be implemented.
Serve as a Homeroom Coach for a caseload of students.
Participate in proctoring state and local assessments.
Complete home visits, as warranted for students.

10 Summer Days, Non-Exempt position What Skills and Knowledge You Can Bring Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with students, parents/guardians, staff, and the community.
Proficient use of technology such as Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, different LMS.
A proven track record to successfully build professional relationships, solve problems, and plan and work collaboratively.
Positive and encouraging outlook.
Education and Experience A high school degree is required.
A Bachelor's degree preferred.
Previous experience working with youth in an academic or community service organization.
Any work in the area of student counseling is a plus.
Cyber school experience is a positive factor.
Required Certificates/Clearances:
Child abuse and criminal background clearances are required, including Act 168 Disclosure/Release.
Must also complete Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training.
