Engineer-in-Training will participate in delivering a variety of roadway and related projects for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. Engineer-in-Training shall possess or be in the process of obtaining an active Engineer-in-Training certification in PA and have 0-2 years of experience in the civil engineering field. Engineer-in-Training will work under the supervision of a senior highway engineer.
DAILY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design
Prepare calculations to support roadway designs
Utilize design software including: MicroStation V8i, Geopak, InRoads, (Open Roads Technology)
Prepare plans, technical specifications and cost estimates for roadway designs
Prepare technical reports, sketches and tables
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Roadway design skills necessary to assemble a PS&E (Plans, Specifications and Estimate) package for a highway project, including: horizontal and vertical alignment design, drainage, stormwater and E&S design, guiderail, signing and pavement marking design, and traffic control
Knowledge of drafting software packages - i.e., MicroStation
Understanding of the PennDOT "project development process"
REQUIRED EDUCATION LEVEL:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree is a plus
SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Experience with MicroStation, Geopak, InRoad, Open Roads Technology, and Microsoft Office products are desired.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
